St. Patrick’s Day Recipes – All About the Green

Edamame Hummus

 

That pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is right here. Just your luck, you stumbled upon these great tasting green recipes just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! Celebrate like the Irish this week. Try these delicious HealthMaster recipes that are easy to make, healthy to eat, and delicious!

Cream of Asparagus Soup
Ingredients:
½ small onion, large dice
½ shallot, diced
1 medium white potato, cooked
1 bunch asparagus, cleaned and trimmed
2 cups chicken or vegetable stock
½ cup milk
½ tsp. sea salt
½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp. olive oil
Directions:
1. In a medium sauté pan, sauté onion, shallot and asparagus in olive oil for 5 minutes.
2. Attach HealthMaster™ Pitcher to Base and rotate clockwise to lock in place.
3. Add all ingredients into the Pitcher. Secure and lock the Lid and Cap in place. Press ON button. Set the timer for 8 minutes. Press RUN button. Increase the speed to 8.
4. Once the machine shuts off, season the soup with salt and pepper. Serve.
Note: Use the Tamper as needed to assist in the blending process.

Edamame Hummus
Ingredients:
16 oz. bag of edamame
1 can (15 oz.) chickpeas, drained
2 cloves garlic, peeled
¼ lemon
2 tbsp. tahini
½ tsp. sea salt
¼ cup olive oil
Directions:
1. Attach HealthMaster Pitcher to Base and rotate clockwise to lock in place.
2. Add all the ingredients into the Pitcher. Secure and lock the Lid and Cap in place.
3. Press ON button. Press RUN button. Increase the speed to 4 until creamy.
Note: Use the Tamper as needed to assist in the blending process

Good and Green Smoothie
Ingredients:
4 kale leaves, stem removed
1 banana, peeled
2 spears pineapple, cored and rind removed
1 ½ cups coconut water
1 tsp. flax seed
1 cup ice
Directions:
1. Attach HealthMaster™ Pitcher to Base and rotate clockwise to lock in place.
2. Add all ingredients into the Pitcher. Secure and lock the Lid and Cap in place. Press ON button. Press RUN button. Increase the speed to 8 until blended and serve.
Note: Use the Tamper as needed to assist in the blending process.

Hot Shot Mojito
Ingredients:
¾ lime, juiced
1/3 cup agave
¼ cup water
2 cups ice
1 cup mint leaves, stems removed
¾ cup rum
¼ jalapeño pepper, stem removed
Directions:
1. Attach HealthMaster™ Pitcher to Base and rotate clockwise to lock in place.
2. Add all the ingredients into the Pitcher. Secure and lock the Lid and Cap in place.
3. Press ON button. Press RUN button. Increase the speed to 8 until blended. Serve.
Note: Use the Tamper as needed to assist in the blending process.

Irish Cream Ice Cream
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups half-and-half
¼ cup Irish cream
4 cups ice cubes
¼ cup chilled coffee
Directions:
1. Attach HealthMaster™ Pitcher to Base and rotate clockwise to lock in place.
2. Add all ingredients into the Pitcher. Secure and lock the Lid and Cap in place.
3. Press ON button. Press RUN button. Increase the speed to 8 until blended. To prevent mixture from melting, do not over-mix. Serve or place in the freezer.
Note: Use the Tamper as needed to assist in the blending process.
Note: Thick mixtures may cause the motor to shut down to prevent overheating. If this occurs, let it cool down for 10 minutes, then press the RESET button.
Note: Some ice creams, sorbets and gelatos may need to be placed in the freezer before serving.

Pineapple Wheatgrass Sorbet
Ingredients:
2 cups pineapple, cored and rind removed
3 ½ cups ice
1/3 cup agave
2 oz. fresh wheatgrass
Directions:
1. Attach HealthMaster™ Pitcher to Base and rotate clockwise to lock in place.
2. Add pineapple and wheatgrass into the Pitcher. Secure and lock the Lid and Cap in place.
3. Press ON button. Press RUN button. Increase the speed to 5 until puréed.
4. Remove the Lid. Add rest of ingredients to the Pitcher. Secure and lock the Lid and Cap in place. Press ON button. Press RUN button. Increase the speed to 5 until blended. To prevent mixture from melting, do not over-mix. Serve or place in the freezer.
