Garden Pea Soup

 

The Spring season bring fresh produce to the farmer’s market and produce stands. With the HealthMaster you can create fresh, delicious and healthy soups using fresh Spring ingredients. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a nice bowl of soup this Spring season.

Garden Pea Soup
Ingredients:
1 lb. green peas, steamed
1 medium yellow onion, peeled
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 cup chicken stock
1 tsp. sage
½ cup fat-free sour cream
½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Attach HealthMaster Pitcher to Base and rotate clockwise to lock in place.
2. Add all ingredients into the Pitcher. Secure and lock the Lid and Cap in place.
3. Press ON button. Press RUN button. Increase the speed to 8 until creamy.
4. Season with salt and pepper.
Note: Use the Tamper as needed to assist in the blending process.

Cream of Asparagus Soup
Ingredients:
½ small onion, large dice
½ shallot, diced
1 medium white potato, cooked
1 bunch asparagus, cleaned and trimmed
2 cups chicken or vegetable stock
½ cup milk
½ tsp. sea salt
½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp. olive oil
Directions:
1. In a medium sauté pan, sauté onion, shallot and asparagus in olive oil for 5 minutes.
2. Attach HealthMaster Pitcher to Base and rotate clockwise to lock in place.
3. Add all ingredients into the Pitcher. Secure and lock the Lid and Cap in place. Press ON button. Set the timer for 8 minutes. Press RUN button. Increase the speed to 8.
4. Once the machine shuts off, season the soup with salt and pepper. Serve.
Note: Use the Tamper as needed to assist in the blending process.

Potato and Leek Soup
Ingredients:
3 Yukon Gold potatoes, cooked
2 leeks, chopped
1 tbsp. grapeseed oil
2 cups chicken or vegetable stock
1 sprig rosemary, stem removed
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Directions:
1. In a medium sauté pan, sauté leeks and rosemary in grapeseed oil for 5 minutes.
2. Attach HealthMaster Pitcher to Base and rotate clockwise to lock in place.
3. Add all ingredients except salt and pepper into the Pitcher. Secure and lock the Lid and Cap in place. Press ON button. Set the timer for 8 minutes. Press RUN button. Increase the speed to 8.
4. Once the machine shuts off, season the soup with salt and pepper.
5. Carefully pour the hot soup in a bowl and serve.
Note: Use the Tamper as needed to assist in the blending process.
Note: For those who prefer a more cooked soup, place the soup in a pot on the stove and simmer for 10-15 additional minutes.
